As a woman, the size of your thighs is definitely on your mind, hence the title. While you want meat on your bones and those popular curves, you want to be able to sculpt your figure, and your thighs are one of those specific problem areas. So what is the best exercise for inner thighs?
First, recognize that as with any type of exercise, you’re going to want to ramp up, starting at beginner level and then to advanced. With thigh exercises, this isn’t going to change what you do but only the amount of time that you do it. For example, you may start out doing one of the following in reps of 15 to 20 and then move on to reps of 25 to 30.
This exercise is rather like a wall sit but incorporates an exercise ball and you don’t quite go all the way vertical. In fact, you get that exercise ball massage on your lower back as you bend down between 5 and 10 inches with your legs shoulder width apart. The idea here is to do 5 reps at the beginning and work your way up to doing 12 reps, doing 5 sets with 30 second rests in between.
This is a very effective exercise requiring short reps if you follow all directions. The most important part of the instructions is to land as softly as you can on your feet, with your weight kept back on your heels. Now, as for the position you’re going to be in, you’re going to be in a vertical squat. When you jump, you jump with an explosive nature, really using your butt and legs to push off. However, when you land, you land as lightly as possible. This is to maximize the potential of this exercise in only 3 reps to begin with, working your way up to 8 reps. This is definitely considered the best exercise for inner thighs.
This exercise not only works out your thighs but your tummy as well. Lie flat on your back, arms extended along your side and legs straight. Raise your left leg, point your toes, and then move your left leg outward. Making a circle, return your left leg down to the ground and repeat with your right leg. After doing five reps each, do three reps with both legs at the same time, leaving out the circular motion.
